District Governor Denis Boyd Visits Club

On Wednesday, October 2, wehad the good fortune of hearing from Rotary District 5050 Governor Denis Boyd about his commitment to Rotary.  He challenged us to think about how we can engage with youth and international products and live up to the motto "Service Above Self."  Denis presented new member Susie DeVries with her Rotary pin and awarded the "Unsung Hero" award to both Paul Pickering and Bob Taylor.  Dave Ryberg was named awarded as the "Heart of the Club" and president Gary Shand was commemorated for being in the "First Class Class."

 

Governor Boyd encouraged our club to send one or two members to the District Conference in Whistler BC May 2-4, 2014.  Information can be found at www.district5050.org.
